LFX Waxes - Hydrocarbon

These are flourinated hydrocarbon waxes having a lower percentage of low-melt point flouro additive.

They are used as training waxes, or as a racing waxes with Cera F as a final, or alone as a race wax at very low temperatures.

LF4X Green, -12C/-32C, 60g

LF04X Low fluoro glidewax.Temperature range from -12C to -32C (10F to -25F). Recommended iron temp: 155C (311F).A new cold wax for dry friction conditions, which can perfectly be used alone as a race wax when the air humidity is low. It performs very well on artificial snow and has a great durability. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. Scraping after appr, one minute. In the warmer part of the temperature range, and when high air humidity, Cera F powder, such as FC04X will increase the performance

 LF5X Turquoise, -8 C/-14C, 60g

Temperature range from -8C to -14C (18F to 7F). Recommended iron temp: 150C (311F).The 5 series is brand new for the Cera Nova X line, and fulfill a hardness gap between the 4 and the 6 series. Its easier to apply than the 4 series, but provides outstanding glide properties within its temperature range, and has a great durability. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. Scraping after appr, one minute.LF05X can be used as a race wax alone, but is often used as a base for Cera F powder, such as FC05X.

 LF6X Blue, -5 C/-10C, 60g

Temperature range from -5C to -10C (23F to 14F). Recommended iron temp: 145C (293F). Our std. LF6 has been one of the greatest successes in the old Cera Nova system, and through comprehensive testing we havent found anything better. This wax is very versatile. Its area of use stretches from underlayer for Cera F powder, racing wax and base prep wax for cold skis. LF06X has a good durability and offers great performance on artificial snow. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. When used as a base for Cera F, we recommend the new FC06X powder.

 LF7X Violet, -2C/-8C, 60g

Temperature range from -2C to -8C (28F to 18F). Recommended iron temp: 140C (284F). A new and improved wax that performs great in normal winter conditions below the freezing point. Its hardness makes it convenient to work with and easy to get a good end-result.Can be used as a racing wax at low air humidity, but will also serve the purpose as a brilliant training wax.The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating ski or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. When used as a base for Cera F, we recommend the new FC07X powder.

LF8X Red, -4C/4C, 60g

Temperature range from -4C to 4C (25F to 39F). Recommended iron temp: 130C (266F). A continuation of the std. LF8, a great wax for both base-prep and training. It can also can be used as a race wax, preferably with Cera F powder on top. Easy to melt and very convenient to work with. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. When used as a base for Cera F, we recommend the FC08X powder.

 LF10X Yellow, 0C/10C, 60g

Temperature range from 0C to 10C (32F to 50F). Recommended iron temp: 120C (248F). A new wax in for the Cera Nova X line made a little bit harder than the old LF10test result shows that a slightly harder wax performs better in this area, , especially noticeable when used alone. The adjusted hardness is also making the wax more durable than before. Its a good wax for base prep wax, but also a great training wax. For racing we recommend to go with high fluoro wax in this temperature area, but with a powder on top LF10X can be used with a good result. The FC10X powder would then be the natural choice. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax.
